Stress management strategies are beneficial to people across a broad spectrum of chronological, gender, cultural, and ethnic characteristics. Men and women, young and old, from divergent socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic back-grounds can benefit from stress management interventions. Sensitivity to needs and values of individuals and communities, particularly for high-risk groups, guides modification of assessment and intervention techniques. The language, belief system, and cultural distinctions of individuals guide the choice and alteration of stress management strategies.ar
